Who:
The Escape ArtFest began its history 11 years ago with the Tabula Rasa Contemporary Arts Festival, organised under the umbrella of the local business chamber. Originally the event was staged during the winter months with the aim of showcasing local artists of all genres.
Overview:
The Escape ArtFest committee had relied upon a few members to provide many services and as the festival grew the information and services required of the website had also grown. The committee needed the website to be rebuilt and managed by a professional. I donated a new website and my services over 2009 to the festival and found it most rewarding.
What We Did:
A new contemporary website was needed. We used a Flash header to incorporate dynamics but used static pages to display information. Social Media Marketing was used extensively with Face Book and Google Maps being the most important. We also incorporated a PayPal account for the group to take payments for their "Friends of ArtFest" initiative.
Technologies Used:
- Flash
- HTML
- CSS
- Social Media Marketing
- PayPal cart
- Third part newsletter sign up form

This site is being redesign with a Content Managed System so that selected committee members can take on the task of keeping site updated.
