It is easily populated with products or services and is capable of handling tangible items or file downloads such as MP3, E books or photos.  Remember that the shopping cart simply holds the image and the description of your products. The key to its utility is the connection to the payment gateway. Owners can have complete control of their online store from any computer that is connected to the internet.

PayPal

Many first-time businesses prefer to obtain a merchant account through PayPal, who offer a "no set-up fee" method of accepting major credit cards. PayPal is an online payment processing company; you may hear it referred to as “third party payment process". Their system is very easy to use and is more affordable for a company with fewer transactions. They also have an intricate tracking system, protecting both you and your clients.

PayPal's fees are calculated per transaction and are relative to the previous month's sales volume. The costs range from 2.4% + $0.30 to 1.1% + $0.30 per transaction. Re{invent} Yourself does not apply any transaction fees on top of PayPal's!

 

Please be aware that PayPal requires customers to register (free of charge) to their services before payments are sent. As PayPal acts as an intermediary between the consumer and merchant, money must be transferred into PayPal and then from PayPal into your account. This transaction is free, and smaller companies with fewer transactions appreciate this secure mediator.

Merchant Account

Many people use services like PayPal to handle their transactions. The problem is there are many people who do not wish to open a PayPal account just to purchase a $5.00 product. They prefer to use their credit card. To set up payments via your site without a third party you'll need to set up a merchant account. You'll need to contact your bank for more information about this process. Once your merchant services are in order Re{invent} Yourself can set up transaction without the need of a third party.
